Features of wood

American walnut is not afraid of temperature changes, moisture, does not warp, does not form cracks. This material is easily processed: sanded, cycled, glued, varnished, polished. The density of products made from it is 600-650 kg per 1 m3, and the hardness is 5 kg per 1 m3. Floor coverings from this type of wood create an expensive unique interior.

Massive board

A solid board, which has grooves on four sides and clear dimensions, is called massive. Distinguished by its large dimensions. Its dimensions are different: length 0.5-3 m, width 10-20 cm, thickness 18-22 mm.

From wood such as American walnut, solid board is available in three grades - select, nature and country. They differ from each other in the type of pattern, the number and size of knots. The “Select” grade includes selected boards of uniform texture without cracks and defects. It may contain knots with a small diameter. Sapwood and foreign inclusions are possible in the "Natur" category. The diameter of the knots on the board should not exceed 4 mm. Compared to Select, it looks darker, more natural. The most natural look is the "Country" category boards, in which there are many different diameters of knots, cracks, sapwood and other defects.

Parquet

Parquet board (American walnut) is a multi-layer construction in which the lower layers are made of inexpensive coniferous or other species, and the upper one consists of valuable walnut wood. It has a brown-gray or dark brown color, a beautiful coarse-grained textural pattern and a pearly sheen. Parquet floorboards laid indoors do not look at all different from solid boards. Such flooring is much cheaper than natural parquet and more resistant to temperature and moisture changes. It is used in various style solutions.

I must say that such material as American walnut is very popular among designers. Single-layer board has a chamfer. Its top layer consists of solid wood. Such a parquet board receives excellent reviews from users. American walnut is a natural material that is highly durable, resistant to deformation and wear-resistant, which allows it to maintain its excellent appearance for many years.

The top layer of a two- and three-strip parquet board consists of pieces of wood without a bevel and imitates piece parquet. This covering differs in esthetic properties, durability, unpretentiousness in operation, environmental friendliness. It retains heat well, absorbs noise, does not attract dust. Valued for its practicality and naturalness.

American walnut parquet boards are covered with several layers of high-tech lacquer, which has a unique recipe. This coverprotects the surface of the board from moisture, scratches, and the UV filters present in it prevent the effects of sunlight on the wood. Such parquet is ideal for both the interior of the apartment and the office.

Laying parquet boards

Two-layer parquet board is connected using the tongue-and-groove method. Not recommended for underfloor heating.

Three-layer parquet board can be installed indoors in a floating way that does not require the use of glue, nails or staples. Its installation must be carried out on a substrate. Made from a material such as American walnut, the board is laid on a prepared base. Moisture-resistant plywood is used as the basis, the sheets of which are laid in such a way that the seams do not match. Subject to all laying rules, parquet will last up to 35 years.

Laminate

Laminate "American walnut" refers to the 33rd class of wear resistance. Technical characteristics allow it to be laid in individual houses, as well as in public places. Available in taupe or dark brown, American Walnut laminate is very similar to solid board.

The lifespan of this flooring (high load) is six years, and at lower intensity it will last much longer. Laminated panels are durable, not afraid of mechanical damage, resistant to aggressive environments.

How to fitlaminate

Each panel has V-bevels that can be either the same color as the board surface or more contrasting. The bevels on the laminate are covered with a protective layer. The floor covering is connected with Wax-Stop locks. During production, they are impregnated with wax, which prevents the laminate from swelling. This type of flooring is not used for laying underfloor heating, as the wax melts when heated.

Panels are connected with locks that simply snap into place without the use of glue. The lamellas are laid on a flat and clean base, covered with a cork or other substrate of similar properties. The laminated board is laid with a different shift in each row.
