Sewerage is one of the most important engineering communications of a modern country house. But many owners of such housing are sometimes deprived of the opportunity to call professional vacuum cleaners to clean it, so they have to cope with this task on their own.
As a rule, a fecal pump is purchased for this. This article is devoted to a brief overview of these devices and an indication of the most optimal type of this equipment.
Immediately, we note that according to their principle of operation, they practically do not differ from simple drainage pumps, but they have an important feature that sometimes limits their scope. We are talking about the absence of a strainer for large particles: it is assumed that the fecal pump will work in an environment in which there are no large solid objects.
Of course, in most cases this is true, but various household waste often gets into the sewer, which can sometimes lead tobreakdowns. Therefore, take care of the presence of nets on all sewer drains of your house, which will prevent such adverse consequences.
However, not everything is so bad: most of the models have drains with a diameter of 35 mm or more. In addition, many pumps have the ability to operate completely autonomously, as they float in wastewater due to the presence of a special float. In the event of an overflow of the septic tank, you only need to bring the sewage drain hose into a special container and connect the equipment to the network.

We do not recommend just coming to a hardware store and buying the first fecal pump that caught your eye, since with this approach you may well be the owner of high-quality equipment that is not suitable for your conditions. To put it simply, you should at least roughly imagine their classification (very simple):
- submersible pumps;
- semi-submersible varieties;
- surface models.
Having omitted much thought, we will immediately tell you that in most cases it is most appropriate to buy a submersible fecal pump in a private country house, since it is he who has the most advantages. For example, it is even used to drain liquid from flooded basements, vegetable pits, and also to organize irrigation. However, these are still not priority areas for its use.
Unlike all the same household models,submersible type fecal pumps for summer cottages are designed to operate in a rather aggressive chemical environment, and therefore their bodies are made using high-quality plastic and first-class stainless steel. As we have already said, in the presence of a float mechanism, its operation is fully automatic. Note that the submersible pump must always be below the sewage level, so this indicator must be constantly monitored during pumping.
