Almost all of us have become very attached to comfort. A normal level of comfort is unthinkable without a high-quality sewer system. That is why let's talk about which sewer well to choose for a frequent home.
The difficulty lies in the fact that in rural areas there is practically no centralized sewage system anywhere. Of course, it is easier and best to make a drain system at the stage of building a house, but it is quite possible to do this after. There are several of the most common types. They include a simple cesspool, a septic tank, or a filtration type sewer well. It is difficult to give specific advice, since the choice depends not only on your preferences, but also on the characteristics of the area where you live.
The easiest way to equip a cesspool. The disadvantage of such a system is that it must be cleaned periodically. To do this, you can use a fecal pump, but it is easier to resort to the services of professional vacuum cleaners. There is another limitation: a cesspool can only be done where groundwater lies deep undersoil surface. The depth of such a pit for normal drainage should be at least 2.5 meters, and its walls should be laid out with bricks, or reinforced concrete sewer wells should be used for this purpose.
To protect yourself from unpleasant odors, you should place this system on the lee side of the yard, and make the hatch double, with a high-quality cover. Do not forget about the ventilation pipe, which should extend beyond the well by at least 0.6-0.8 m.
The filtration system is more productive, but still more suitable for those farms that produce an average amount of wastewater. As in the previous case, the walls are best made of brick or concrete rings. Such a sewer well should be made at least 2.5 meters deep, and its width should be at least one meter. From the outside, the structure wakes up with high-quality building rubble, which is poured in a layer of about 0.3 m. It should be noted that the inner walls of the tank must be carefully plastered with a thick cement mortar.
But experts agree that a septic tank is best for a private house. Its design is based on a system of interconnected wells. As in the case of the filtration type, each of them must have a depth of at least 2.5 m, but the width is preferably from 1.5 m. The volume of the container is calculated so that the entire amountincoming effluents could remain in it for at least three days. A high-quality ventilation system is also very important, since it is the presence of air that is the most important contributing factor to the biological decomposition of waste, which characterizes this type of sewer well.
It must be said that during the construction of any sewer system, it is necessary to strictly follow all sanitary regulations. It is because of certain sanitary standards that a sewer well, the price of which can be very attractive, may not suit you. Study the SNIPs in the relevant area. Perhaps, for the construction of a large sewage system, you will have to negotiate with representatives of local governments. In 100% of cases, you will have to talk to them when groundwater in your area comes close to the soil surface.
