The next stage of construction before finishing work is the installation of electrical wires. Wiring in the house includes not only the installation of various kinds of wires, but also the installation of switches, sockets, as well as various circuit breakers.
Switch
The location of the switches, as a rule, should be at a height (from 90 to 140 centimeters) from the floor so that the opening door does not close them, thereby preventing access to them. So before determining the location of the switches, you need to figure out how and in which direction the doors will open. Do-it-yourself wiring in a house has several important rules. One of them is that the switch only disconnects the "phase" wire, but not the "zero" one.
Socket
Today's wiring in the house determines their location from the floor at a height of no more than 30 centimeters. If it is necessary to install them in large numbers (from three or more) in one place, for example, in the kitchen, an exception is made to the rule, and they are placed at a height of 50 to 80 centimeters. Also for the kitchen there is an exception for the number of sockets, and it is three pieces per 6 m2, for the restpremises - one per m2. It is strictly forbidden to install sockets at a distance of less than 50 cm from various kinds of devices (gas stove, metal sink, heating radiator, etc.).
Wiring in the house provides for the installation of outlets on both sides of the partition with a through hole in them, using a parallel connection.
Wiring
Based on what kind of light source you plan to use (separating, non-separating), the type of cable for it is determined, it can be 2-core or 3-core. In order to ensure that all electrical appliances in your home are grounded, it is necessary to use only 3-core cable for power wiring and sockets. Accordingly, sockets with grounding contacts should also be used for this. It must also be remembered that it is strictly forbidden to connect the ground loop to any metal structures of the room, to heating radiators. The three-core cable is color-coded for each wire, yellow/blue indicates that this wire is for grounding.
Protection machine
Wiring in the house also includes the installation of an electrical panel, which is designed to accommodate circuit breakers. It is mandatory to use several circuit breakers, which will have their ownpower circuits. They must be separate, in other words, separately for sockets, switches. It is also recommended to have separate circuit breakers for devices with high power (electric stove, boiler, etc.).
Do-it-yourself wiring in an apartment seems like a complicated process, but if you follow the tips and follow all the rules, you can easily succeed.
