Combination burners are used in areas where there may be interruptions in gas supply, and the ability to urgently switch to another type of fuel is required. Also, these elements are in demand where the main fuel is supplied to the facility according to a certain schedule, and also if the necessary thermal regime of the furnace is not provided. Consider the characteristics and features of these devices.

Oil-gas modifications with forced air supply

Combination burners of this type consist of three parts:

  1. Gas compartment (hollow ring with inlet fitting and eight tubes for spraying the working mixture).
  2. The fluid block consists of an oil head and an internal element with a nozzle. The amount of oil supply is adjusted using the adjustable screw.
  3. Air section. The assembly includes a housing, a swirler (needed for better mixing of the working mixture), a damper for adjusting the air supply.

Operationcombined gas burners allows to increase the effect of the functioning of the units than the use of oil and gas nozzles separately. The considered design is optimally suited to ensure uninterrupted and reliable operation of relevant installations in large industrial enterprises, power plants and other consumers requiring continuous operation.

Dust-gas version with central gas supply

Combined pulverized coal burners operate according to the following principle: a mixture of air with the specified type of fuel enters the annular passage of the main pipe, and the secondary part of the dust-air mixture goes through the snail into the furnace.

The reserve type of fuel is fuel oil, for which a special nozzle is provided in the central channel. When the gas mode is activated, the specified element is replaced by a ring counterpart. A tube with a cast-iron tip is mounted in its central part. It is equipped with oblique slots that serve to release gas that combines with air at the outlet of the cochlea. In improved versions, instead of 24 outlet windows, holes with a diameter of seven millimeters are provided, in the amount of 115 pieces. This allows you to increase the gas yield by 50 percent. Such models use peripheral fuel supply, which guarantees high-quality mixing of all components of the mixture with minimal losses.

Block version

These combined burners are designed for operation in the working chambers of various thermal devices, including thermal and water heating boilers, special ovens and similar installations.

There is an intake with a damper and a drive on the inlet part of the body. The last part consists of an electromagnet and a block of levers, aggregating with a locking axle. A motor is attached to the frame, with a centrifugal fan on the shaft. A mixer with a swirler and electrodes is provided on the body flange, a neck is fixed on its end.

The principle of operation of BG-G

The faucet on the specified design leans back in two positions. This makes it easier to access the high voltage wires and the gas nozzle. This element is connected to the appropriate wiring and fittings. Attachment points at all joints are sealed with special rings and gaskets.

The remote control, fixed on the body with a bracket, is responsible for controlling the intensity of operation of combined burners for boilers. Air is supplied to the working chamber by means of an electric fan, the volume of the mixture is adjusted by means of an air damper.

At the rated thermal power, the electromagnet is in an inactive state (de-energized), and the damper is open in the "zero" position on the air intake limb. The "small fire" mode provides for the supply of power to the magnet, after which it works, forcing the damper on the axis to rotate to position No. 3.

Gas is supplied through the wiring to the nozzle, through the sockets of which it enters the air stream swirling in the swirler. The amount of fuel supplied to the combustion chamber is regulated by solenoid valves. As a result, the mixture is ignited by a spark that forms between the nozzle and the ignition electrode from the high voltage supply.

Working modes

Block mechanisms have several operating ranges. Among them:

  1. Purge. In this mode, the fan is turned on, which supplies the required amount of air to the combustion chamber. In this case, the drive will be in a de-energizedcondition and the damper is fully open. On the wiring, the solenoid valves are also inactive, preventing excessive gas supply to the burner.
  2. Ignition. After purge use this mode. To do this, power is supplied to the drive, after which it rotates the damper axis, reducing the supply of air mixture. The valve or solenoid valves are switched on synchronously, gas is supplied to the burner, and the pulse generator transforms the high voltage to the ignition electrode. A spark appears in the working chamber, which ignites the gas-air composition.
  3. "Small fire" is also referred to as ignition mode.
  4. Operational features. At this stage, the work of all the main nodes is monitored. If normal combustion with a stable flame is observed during the ignition phase, the solenoid valve is activated, turning off the magnet. As a result, the maximum possible opening of the air damper is formed. After that, the burner operates in the "big fire" mode. Heat power is adjusted by means of special regulators.

Elco combination burners

This manufacturer specializes in the production of analogues that use gas or diesel fuel. Details are focused on boiler installations with a power not exceeding 2050 kW. According to the type of adjustment, the elements are divided into several modifications:

  • Dual-fuel single-stage options.
  • Models with smooth pair type of adjustment.
  • Standard two stage versions.
  • Equipment withpneumatic type of control.
  • Three-stage analogues.

Combined gas/diesel fuel burners are operated at facilities that require a constantly guaranteed supply of heat continuously. The main type of fuel is gas, but at any time the equipment can be switched to aggregation with diesel fuel. Such nozzles are widely used in thermal industrial generators, heating, water heating and drying industries.

Modifications

Elco has several varieties of parts in question:

  1. Vectron VGL-2 model. It works in pressure mode from 30 to 190 kW, has a single stage design.
  2. VGL-3. Power - 95-360 kW. Working stage - two modes.
  3. Combined gas/diesel fuel burner for 500 kW VGL-4 modification. The maximum and minimum threshold is 460-610 kW.
  4. VGL-5 and 6 versions feature a smooth dual-mode design, rated from 700kW to 2050kW.

Operation

Elko structures are used in the agricultural, baking, light and heavy chemical industries. It is worth noting that the market offers combined gas / diesel burners with a monoblock, in which the fan is mounted in the device housing, or in pairs with a separate pressurization.

The following items are included in the package:

  • Directly herselfburner.
  • Mixing mechanism.
  • Ramp with gas multiblock.
  • Built-in filter.
  • Pressure switch.
  • Solenoid valves.
  • Pump.
  • Fan.

If necessary, products can be supplemented with special liquid fuel pumps and related accessories. These include stopcocks, valves, couplings, indicators, fixing flanges and other specific equipment.

Finally

Burners of combined type with a monoblock device are placed in a single structure. There are household analogues, versions for medium-sized enterprises and modifications for industrial use on the market. Among themselves, they differ in the type of fuel used, the features of ignition and size. The main advantage of this equipment is the ability to switch from gas to another type of fuel, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of important and strategic facilities. On two-stage versions, the system is somewhat more complicated. They are more efficient in terms of maximum combustion of fuel, have increased efficiency, provide a smooth transition between operating modes, and are used in various food, industrial and agricultural industries.
