Unfortunately, it is not always possible to connect to an already working water supply in the suburban area you have chosen. You should not be especially upset about this - there is a way out of the situation. It cannot be argued that the water supply system at home, where the water source is its own well, is the cheapest option, but it still has some significant advantages.
To equip a well today is quite simple, you can order the work to be done by specialists, you can do the work yourself - for this you need to buy a special device for manual drilling. Only here it should be taken into account that when tapping into a centralized water supply system, the water supply system of the house will immediately be filled with water having the appropriate pressure, and when connected to your own well, you will have to pay attention to solving this problem.
Arrangement of the water supply system of a country house
The best option would be to build a well directly in the room, but this option is rarely implemented - usually it is located at some distance. For this reason, the water supply system of the house is conditionally divided into a water intake and a main line laid in the courtyard and indoors. Internal plumbing, in turn, consists of fittings (valves, pipes, valves, etc.) and consumers (faucets, taps, plumbing fixtures).
How to equip a well
The first thing to consider is that the water supply system at home will require equipment with additional electrical appliances, in particular, a submersible electric pump, with which water will be supplied to the main. Its capacity is calculated depending on the depth of the well and the estimated need for water. Electrical equipment will operate at depth, i.e. a device for lowering and raising the pump, electric cable and water hose should be provided at the planning stage. It can be a winch, manual or electric. For ease of lowering, the cable can be connected to a hose, the gaps between the fixation points can be from 1.5 to 2 m, and the fasteners themselves should allow the cable to move relative to the hose when some force is applied. In some cases, a more rational option would be the use of a complex system that provides for the presence of two or three synchronously workingdrums, which will provide a smooth lowering-raising of the cable with the load, hose and cable. Pulling out the pump with a cable or water hose is not recommended!
Installation of the water supply system of a country house will also require digging trenches for laying water pipes. The calculation of the depth of the trenches should be made carefully, taking into account the depth of soil freezing in the region. Water in pipes laid outdoors should not freeze even in the most severe frosts. If you have problems with digging a deep trench, you can resort to thermal insulation of pipes using modern materials.
How to create the right water pressure
The water supply system at home should also include a water tank, which is usually located on the second or attic floor of the room (in its highest part). Experts recommend equipping it with automatic level sensors that will control the operation of the pump. The presence of a water tank in the house will be useful in the event of episodic operation of a centralized water supply - it will help to avoid problems with interruptions in the water supply.
