Schroeder valve is a device whose main function is to connect the parts of the refrigeration mechanism with the pipeline. Most often this is a filling hose or a manometric manifold.
What is a Schrader valve? Destination
This mechanism is mainly used for evacuation of refrigeration circuits. This is necessary to remove old refrigerant particles, due to which the charging proportion is maintained and excess moisture is removed from the system. By the way, even the smallest moisture content can provoke a slight freezing of the cavity of the refrigeration equipment parts or create a partial blockage. All this leads either to changes in the cycle of operation, or to a complete disruption and functionality of the refrigeration unit. The Schrader valve is also very popular with refrigerator repairmen.
Thanks to this element, you can very quickly and inexpensively connect a manometric manifold to the compressor. Most often, after refueling, the valve remains in place - this is necessary in order to subsequently control the slightest changes in the system. Of course, they don’t leave it open in place, they additionally put on a special protectivecap.
Device
The Schrader valve consists of several structural elements.
- Case. Most often, this element is a brass part of a cylindrical shape. There are two threads on the body - internal and external. The first is assigned to fix the nipple device, and the second to connect the brass part of the valve to the manifold.
- Cap. This element has a small rubber seal in its design, which is able to protect the circuit as much as possible from sudden “sucking”, which is not uncommon for modern refrigerators. This phenomenon is often caused by a leaky air valve.
- Valve. This is the main mechanism that allows refrigerant to flow in one direction only.
- Retraction. Most often, bends are made of copper pipe. Its diameter is about a quarter of an inch. The length of the outlet is from 50 to 90 millimeters. The copper tube is used for flaring.
Production of the valve and its sale on the Russian market
Most of the modern valve models presented on the modern Russian market are a product of Chinese manufacture. Such devices are distinguished by a lower price, however, as practice shows, their workmanship is far inferior to our counterparts.
Naturally, there is a need to solder the connections of the outlet tube to the valve body. In this regard, many prefer valvesdomestic production. They are practically not inferior to Chinese ones in price, but they are more reliable and of higher quality in use. It is not difficult to find them - they are sold in any specialized store in the city.
