Absolutely all types of plants are thermophilic, therefore only David's budley was able to adapt to the climatic conditions of the middle zone. Despite frost resistance, the shrub requires special care and good shelter for the winter. This species comes from China, where it grows near mountains and along river banks.
David's budley is also called "autumn lilac", because its flowers are very similar to the inflorescences of the spring shrub known to all of us. At the age of three, the plant blooms for the first time - this happens in August or September, and lasts a month and a half. Spike inflorescences come in a variety of shades: white, blue, blue, pink, purple, purple, yellow. The honey fragrance of flowers spreads aroundattracting a wide variety of insects, which is why you can always see bees and butterflies near the buddley.
Because the plant is exotic, it requires special care. Budleya David prefers sunny places protected from the wind with fertile soil. It is best to choose sandy soil, in which lime must first be added. If the soil is heavy, you should add as much peat, sand and humus as possible to it, and also loosen the earth often. In the middle lane, buddleia grows as a shrub, the stems of which grow up to 2 m in height. These flowers require special attention and care from gardeners. Buddleia Davida is known for its active growth that begins in early spring. Throughout the season, the shrub should be fed several times with mineral fertilizers. The plant does not tolerate drought, so at high temperatures it must be watered twice a day. After the end of flowering, the shoots are cut off at the root, and with the arrival of the first frosts, the bush is mulched with spruce branches, dry leaves or peat, which will protect against frost. In the spring, when warming sets in, the shelter is removed so that the kidneys do not rot.
David's budley breeds very easily. Growing from seeds does not present any particular difficulties, although they are very small, they germinate quickly and without prior preparation. seedit ripens in October, it should be sown in a box with soil, a greenhouse or a greenhouse in the spring. The seeds are small, so it is best to sprinkle them with soddy soil or humus. The boxes are covered with foil, aired and sprayed with water 3 times a week. Shoots appear in half a month, in extreme cases, in a month.
