Mirabilis, which is easy to plant and care for, is generally similar to regular scented tobacco. This plant is distinguished by the fact that flowers of various shades can be “born” in one bush. Sometimes there are even instances that have different petals.
It should be noted right away that this plant is thermophilic. The hottest dry summer will be favorable for him. In no case do not choose shaded areas for Mirabilis! On them, its flowering will stop. An open area that is well lit by the sun would be ideal. For most ornamental plants, such conditions can be fatal, but not for this one.
Mirabilis, planting and caring for which does not cause difficulties, is also unpretentious in terms of fertilizers. It is only important to take care of the lime in sufficient quantities. It is advisable to choose loamy or even clay soil. There are two ways to propagate a flower: seedlings and tubers.
For the preparation of seedlings, you should choose the time in advance, before the optimal time for planting in open ground. Seeds can be sown in April, but if you delay with this, the plant may be too weak before transplanting. It will not form to the end, therefore, the adult will not have the strength to bloom. Such is the unpretentious mirabilis. Planting and caring for seedlings involves the use of light soil. When preparing the substrate, it must be borne in mind that this plant does not tolerate acidic soil. Therefore, the composition of the mixture should not contain any components that affect this indicator. First of all, we are talking about peat.
Shoots usually appear after 4-6 days after sowing, and in large numbers. After the seedlings form the first leaf, they must be dived into small pots. June is suitable for transplanting seedlings to a permanent place. By this time, Mirabilis will have gained strength. Planting and caring for him in the future will not be a problem.
Growing from seeds is easier. In addition, this method allows you to hope for earlier flowering. However, seed material is not always easy to find in the store.

More and more people are decorating their gardens with it. Its flowering is almost continuous and very plentiful. It is enough to provide the necessary conditions - and everything will be fine. Flowers can be customized to your liking. If there is not enough space in the flower bed, you can limit yourself to compact sockets, terry or semi-double varieties. All of them will actively grow, although they do not really like being too close to each other.
