The fight against ants in the garden is a very tricky business, because it is necessary to accurately determine the method of struggle, otherwise their reproduction can cause great harm to everything that grows.
How can you destroy ants
Method one: find an anthill or loosen the soil next to the crop (in most cases they live there) and pour boiling water over it.
Method Two: Fighting ants in the garden can be beneficial by sprinkling tobacco dust or lime on the ant nest.
Third method: ants do not tolerate specific smells: smoked herring, garlic (each slice must be cut), tomato tops, parsley leaves. Even the smell of a decoction of tomato leaves (the more concentrated, the more effective) is deadly for them.
Fourth method: fighting ants in the garden can be effective if you take corrugated cardboard, the width of which will be about twenty centimeters, and sprinkle it with a soot solution or sprinkle with cinnamon. Then put the sheet around the anthill or put it on top. It is generally accepted that the placeants will leave forever with this smell.
Fifth method: it is rather eccentric - you need to water the nest with ants with urine.
The sixth method, by which the fight against ants in the garden plot should be stopped once and for all: in the center of the anthill, you need to pour a mixture that should consist of ten liters of water, two glasses of vegetable oil, shampoo (any) and vinegar. From above, cover it all with a film and wait a couple of days.
Seventh method: you can get rid of ants if you prepare a solution of the following ingredients: 300 grams of fresh wormwood or 30 grams of dry must be poured with ten liters of cold water and let it brew for several hours. The resulting infusion does not need to be diluted, you just need to spray the anthills with this composition.
Eighth method: you can drive ants away with vegetable oil, including sunflower oil. To do this, you need to take a rake, level the anthill so that the moves are visible, which, of course, will be restored by the ants in a hurry. Next, you need to water the passages with oil several times until the insects leave this anthill.
There is another very interesting way to deal with ants, but whether or not to use it is a personal choice for everyone. And it consists in bringing red ants from the forest, which, logically, will simply “survive” the black ones, but whether the game is worth the candle is the question.
If the above methods do nothelp, there remains the last, proven - chemical treatment. However, it is fraught with a pitfall - the chemistry will enter the plants through the root system, through the leaves or in another way, and may end up on the table along with the fruits. Therefore, we try to get rid of ants with safe methods, saving chemical as a last option.
