- Before sewing a pillow, you need to decide for what room it is being prepared and in what style it will be created (especially if there are no plans to change “clothes” for the pillow).

A medium-sized rectangular pillow should be approximately 120 cm wide and half as high (of course, these numbers can be any other). It is very important to remember to make an allowance of a few centimeters on each side - for the fold.

- If you are going to sleep on a pillow, the material for stuffing it should be hypoallergenic.

Interior pillows are able to decorate any design, but, as a rule, they are most often used in retro-style rooms, in children's rooms, in Provence or shabby chic rooms. I would like to talk about the latter in a little more detail - probably not everyone knows what kind of "beast" this is.
Shabby chic
Shabby chic style, suitable for romantic natures, originated in England. It is for this style that pillows are suitable, like for no other. A similar design is chosen by gentle, sophisticated, feminine natures. This is exactly what interior pillows are designed to emphasize. The shabby chic style is characterized by the use of pastel colors, vintage details, romantic accessories, and a large amount of hand-made. It means thathandmade pillows will come in handy here.
What do you need?
Nothing supernatural is required, but only:
- fabric;
- pattern;
- needle and thread;
- zipper;

How to sew interior pillows with your own hands?
Patterns, as already mentioned, you can create yourself. Once again: there is nothing complicated in creating pillows. The pattern needs to be transferred to the fabric, arm yourself with patience and go ahead. There are many options for creating pillows. After all, they are not only square and rectangular, but also unusual shapes, for example, in the form of animals, flowers, letters, houses, puzzles.
You can even make a pillow-roller. True, for this you need foam rubber. It must be rolled up, the radius and length measured, and a piece of suitable size cut out of the fabric. Fold it inside out in half, sew the ends (do not forget about the zipper!), turn the fabric inside out. Sew circles on the sides, decorate as desired, insert foam rubber into the fabric. And voila!
