Undoubtedly, the most important element of the bath is the stove. If you are planning to build a bath, then you can’t do without it. Of course, you can just choose and buy ready-made. Fortunately, there are a lot of them on sale now. But in this article we will talk about how to build a sauna stove with a water tank yourself. It is, in fact, not so difficult. The main thing is to follow the technology in the manufacture and understand the principles by which the bath is heated. The wood-burning stove in this regard is worth a separate mention. It can be heated with wood, coal or peat, less technologically advanced than electric or gas stoves. In addition, it is worth noting that the new factory models, no matter how good they are, will not be able to provide that unique feeling that the traditional Russian stove-heater gives. After all, a stove in a bathhouse is not only one of the structural elements, but also a special environment and microclimate created by burning firewood. In addition, suchthe model is safer compared to electric and gas, does not require the cost of additional communications. By installing a wood-burning stove in a bath, you can not be afraid of gas leakage or a short circuit in the circuit.

Let's talk more about the types of homemade stoves. One of them is a stove with an external water tank. The advantage of this design is its practicality, since there are no situations in which unnecessary raw steam from the tank enters the bath room that has not yet been warmed up by heat. To make such a stove, we need an ordinary potbelly stove with a built-in register for heating water. Above the firebox, it is necessary to make a special "pocket" for stones (to protect against serious burns, it is better to make it open). Such a furnace is made of sheet steel. The water tank is hung in such a way that its lower edge rises at least half a meter above the level of the register. The tank is attached to the register using pipes or a rubber hose.

For small spaces, it is recommended to make stoves with low heat capacity. At the bottom of such a furnace is a firebox, in the center is a heater, and at the top of the structure there is a tank with water. A brick wall can be laid inside the metal casing (there is also a variant of such a stove without the use of bricks), stones are placed on a grate of steel strips. The tank located above is heated by hot gases, water is poured into it through a special side hole. The assembly of this design is relatively simple and is carried out by welding.

Another interesting option is to make a stove in a bath from an iron barrel. First, the top and bottom are removed, resulting in a kind of cylinder. We install the resulting structure on a grate, which, in turn, is installed on a firebox made of bricks. Inside the barrel, a wall of bricks placed on edge is also laid out, and then stones are poured into about two-thirds of the internal space. The barrel is covered with a lid, and a chimney is led upstairs.

Also, the stove in the bath can be made from thick sheet iron without the use of bricks at all. At the bottom of this design is an ash pan (a device for collecting ash from burnt fuel), a firebox is located above, and there is a grate on top of it. There are stones on the grate, a chimney is located a little higher and to the side of them. Such a system is quite easy to assemble, but does not keep heat for a very long time due to the lack of brick walls in it.

As you can see, with the appropriate knowledge and a certain skill, it is not at all difficult to make a sauna stove on your own. The main thing is diligence and enthusiasm.
