When building, repairing, constructing various structures, it is often simply impossible to do without hardware of various shapes and purposes, which greatly facilitate most of the work.
Mounting bracket (rigging)
In a general sense, these cargo hardware are one of the elements of various lifting systems. There are a huge number of mounting brackets that are very different in their configuration and shape. They are used to secure cables, ropes, chains and as a removable connection. This product is made in the form of a metal loop, both ends of which are connected by a pin / pin (transverse element). This mounting bracket differs according to the following criteria:
- Shape: There are straight, D and U-shaped hardware. Also, products in the form of the Greek letter "omega" are not uncommon. In Russia, such hardware is called "omega-shaped" and is denoted by the letters "SI". Straight brackets are denoted by the symbol "CA".
- According to the purpose, which depends on the grade of steel used. So, for general-purpose hardware, class 2 steel is used. Lifting brackets are made from 8 and 10 classes of rolled metal. The latter are used for moving and lifting loads, makinglifting gear.
- According to the type of pin (pin), there are staples with screw transverse elements and with a safety bolt and nut.
Most often, the surface of such hardware is galvanized, and the pin is painted. The mounting bracket has such a size, what is its diameter of the cross section of the finger. It is very difficult to understand the variety of this type of hardware products, but there are some of their types that are familiar to almost everyone.
Universal brace
This hardware product is not designed for lifting loads. It is made in the form of an elongated horseshoe, the ends of which are connected by a transverse element. This bracket comes in different sizes (from 5 to 38 mm). These hardware, depending on the size, have a different breaking load, expressed in kilograms. So, the smallest mounting bracket cannot withstand a load of 0.4 kg, and the largest can easily withstand up to 25 kg.
Clamp
There is another mounting bracket, often called a clamp. Main her
function is to tie the flanges in the air ducts. The main purpose of its application is to obtain complete sealing, as well as the immobility of the joints. This mounting bracket, the price of which depends on the size of the hardware and the material spent on its manufacture, has 3 sizes: M8, 10, 12. It is used to fasten profiles to channels (ceiling beams) without welding and drilling. These brackets are clamped to the beam and connected to the suspended structures by means ofthreaded rod. Often, for greater security of the connection, a fixing strip is also used. The price of the clamp M8 for 50 pcs. in a package is on average 1.5 Euro. The largest hardware of this type will already cost 3 Euros.
GOST "Mounting brackets" also presents the simplest hardware of this kind - SMM-25. They are designed to attach to different surfaces of various pipes and cables, corresponding to their inner diameter.
