Living in the suburbs has many advantages. But she also has her shortcomings. So, there are many problems with the organization of heating. Gas is expensive to carry out, and fuss with solid fuel boilers and furnaces is far from appealing to everyone. The output can be an electric boiler. You can make it with your own hands without spending a lot of money on it.
Constructive elements
The most important component of the boiler is the heating element, which converts electrical energy into heat. The boiler itself is made from any container of a suitable shape and volume, and one should not forget about the need to connect sensors to it, which will not only simplify the operation of the equipment, but also make it much safer.
The simplest option
Home craftsmen can make an electric boiler with their own hands from anything, but more often they choose options that do not require a lot of labor and money. The simplest method is to mount the heating element directly into a heating pipe of a suitable size.
Of course, its diameter should be significantly larger than that of the other pipes. In addition, it must necessarily be removable and provide for easy and quick access to it. The ability to dismantle will come in handy when you need to replace a burned-out heating element.
More efficient way
Despite all of the above, the simplest do-it-yourself electric boiler will have to be done separately. The fact is that only a separate heating circuit is capable of delivering maximum efficiency, which is enough to heat even a relatively large house.
You can make such a device from the usual cutting of a pipe of the appropriate diameter. Remember that in the case of installing a heating circuit, you do not need to chase the volume of the storage boiler, since in this case most of the energy will be wasted.
Note that if it is necessary to heat a small three-room apartment, even cutting a pipe with a diameter of 219 mm is enough, and its length can be no more than half a meter. Of course, on both sides it must be completely hermetically sealed. So, before you make an electric boiler with your own hands, be sure to take care of a good welder.
Wiring
You need to weld a drain pipe into the top cover, which will connect the boiler to the heating radiators. In the lower side part, the same branch pipe should be welded, designed for the inlet of cold water.
For small spaces we wouldrecommended to use a heating element from 1 kW, which operates on a network with a voltage of 220 V. The heating element itself can be mounted either on the side of the bottom cover, or slightly away from the side pipe with cold water. Thus, installing an electric boiler with your own hands is not a particularly complicated process.
Clarifications
It should be noted right away that the option of mounting the heating element directly into the heating system is not particularly reliable. However, both described designs can work around the clock without any problems.
Of course, this mode of operation is possible only if you additionally include automatic fuses in the circuit diagram that can turn off the power in case of overload or other unforeseen situations.
In addition, the automatic setting of operating modes will seriously save electrical energy. Thus, making an electric boiler with your own hands is not only realistic, but also possible for any master who has simple materials and tools at hand.
