Communal electricity meter allows you to save your finances deducted for such public needs as lighting of staircases, ventilation and booster pumps, operation of elevator systems, outdoor lighting, as well as compensation for energy losses. Individual control systems have already become ubiquitous, but public meters still cause mistrust among the population.
A similar electricity meter is placed on the supply line at the entrance to the house. Therefore, it measures the entire amount of electricity consumed. This value includes general house and apartment expenses. The first is determined by the section of the line from the moment you enter the house to the entrance to a particular apartment. The second indicator takes into account the needs of this apartment. This method allows you to more accurately calculate the need for electricity in the population.
The common house electricity meter counts the amount of energy consumed per month, pay the expensecan be done in two ways: the first includes the use of standards, the second uses only meter data. Let's consider each of them with specific examples.
For example, an individual electricity meter has already been installed in your apartment, in which case, when installing a common house meter, you will pay only a part that is proportional to the energy consumption that your apartment has spent during this period. So the more energy you use, the bigger your electricity bill will look. If your apartment does not have its own metering devices, then the payment will be calculated by the house management according to the standards that take into account the footage of the apartment (in square meters), as well as the number of citizens registered on this area.
For example, an ordinary family of three lives in a three-room apartment. In this case, they will pay about three times more than their neighbors, who live in the same amount in a one-room apartment. At the same time, both of them will use the common house electrical energy in equal shares.
As can be seen from the examples, the electricity meter, both house and apartment, allows you to more accurately take into account the needs of the population, and therefore more effectively approach the problems of production and distribution of electricity. However, common house meters save not only natural resources used at power plants. They allow people to save money. This can be done in several ways, for example, by replacing light sources in outdoor lighting fixtures with energy-saving lamps, installing motion sensors, carrying out timely repairs and installing protection against spontaneous connections to the house electrical network.
It should be noted that the common house electricity meter has one significant drawback: if a tenant refuses to pay his expenses, the rest of the neighbors will have to do it. The cost of services is equally distributed among all residents.
