Metal mold for paving slabs
With your own hands, you can make a coating of paths or grounds without resorting to a separate casting of each tile. You can simply weld a frame from metal plates without a bottom, presumably a rectangular or square shape. Partitions are located inside the main frame. They can divide the area not into geometric shapes, but be curved. This style of work cancels many stages of laying paving slabs. It is only necessary to clear and level the place, lay the frame and pour the solution into the voids. After the concrete has hardened, the frame is removed and shifted side by side, right next to the already completed section, if there is only one form for paving slabs. With your own hands, laying the coating in this way is quitelong, so it is recommended to make several of these forms. The "trace" technique is very popular with this method. To do this, you need a trace carved from wood, polystyrene or molded from something: human, tiger, fantasy. At the moment when the solution has just begun to set a little, you need to put a trace on the surface and hold it for a while - so that it is well imprinted. After complete curing, such a pattern looks unusual and creative, especially if the trace is left as if by a bigfoot or a huge fairy-tale beast.
Figured molds for the production of paving slabs
Usually people use purchased molds for casting tiles. But the method of making such forms at home is also quite suitable. To do this, you need to make a sample of the desired shape, lubricate it with vaseline oil and lower it into a container with silicone sealant. After the sample is removed from the sealant, the master will have a silicone mold for paving slabs. Making a sample with your own hands is also easy. You can use the purchased tiles, which attracted attention. And you can make a sample using a wooden or foam template as a starting material. It should first be applied to the drawing you like, made with ordinary sculptural plasticine, which is used by children. The resulting forms will practically not differ from those offered to the consumer by the market.
Making molds for natural stone tiles
Paving slabs made under natural stone look great. With your own hands, forms for it can be made from wooden planks, knocking together a box with a bottom from them. Inside the box, wooden partitions are made in such a way that the dimensions of each compartment correspond to the future size of a single tile. At the bottom of each compartment, you can put stones or earth, giving the filler the necessary shape - this will be the top of the finished tile. The filler is covered with a polyethylene film. Then the solution is poured into each compartment. After the tile has set, it is carefully removed and left until completely cured. At this point, it is recommended to repeat the filling. For beauty, you can add paint, expanded clay, crushed stone to the solutions for casting tiles.
