I must say that fluorescent lamps are indispensable in cases where it is required to illuminate an industrial or business premises, as they have a high return and give a uniform light. They are characterized by compact size and beautiful appearance. In addition, they do not require a professional connection, as they can easily be used instead of traditional incandescent lamps and can be installed without problems in a standard plinth. At the same time, technical light can be obtained not only with the help of lamps of strict forms, but also with models that are made according to the latest trends in design art.
If we talk about gas discharge fluorescent lamps, they resemble neon signs and are glass bulbs that use mercury and sodium vapor. The inner surface of such lamps is coated with a special compound called a phosphor that converts ultraviolet rays into the visible spectrum of light.
It must be said that whenadding individual impurities to the mercury-gas mixture of these lamps, you can get a glow of a different spectrum - white, color or black (UV). If, however, special quartz glass is used to make them, then you can get lamps that are used in medicine, since they are characterized by UV radiation of mercury and have a bactericidal effect.
