Gypsum board ceilings nowadays enjoy well-deserved popularity. Firstly, they allow you to completely hide all overlap defects. Secondly, they do not take too much height of the room (no more than 10 - 15 cm) and, thirdly, they are very inexpensive.
These wonderful designs have another important advantage - aesthetic appeal. The plasterboard ceiling, whose design can be unusually spectacular, usually becomes a real "highlight" of the interior of the room.
Varieties of ceiling structures
Today, apartments and offices mainly use two types of plasterboard false ceilings: classic single-level and more spectacular multi-level ones. The first option is somewhat cheaper, and it can most often be seen in public buildings. Plasterboard ceiling, the design of which involves the use of several levels, is usually mounted in residentialindoors.
Such a design not only looks very unusual and aesthetically pleasing in itself, but also makes it possible to create an unusually effective backlight.
Design Options
Design project of multi-level plasterboard ceilings can be made using the following elements:
- Curvilinear arc. Spotlights are usually “launched” along the edge. Such an element is often asymmetrical and goes well with the curves of the furniture. Simply great for modern interiors.
- Curved waves. The edge can also be decorated with lamps, but their location does not have to follow the curve of the niche. This is a more "independent" decor. The plasterboard ceiling, which is designed in this way, serves as a decoration of the room in itself.
- Using small pockets. In this case, neon lights or LED strip are often used. Such ceilings have a slightly more "strict" look than the first two options.
- Ceiling with photo wallpapers, which are pasted in niches. The option with the image of the starry sky looks very nice.
- The use of geometric shapes. The use of rhombuses, triangles, ovals, etc. is practiced. At the same time, both niches and second-level boxes are curly.
Decorative decorations
Gypsum board ceiling, the design of which can be absolutely anything, must be equipped with lamps.
Its design is strong enough and can easily withstand up to 10 kg of weight. Therefore, you can safely use any decorative elements. Baguettes and imitation of stucco work look very nice in combination with such ceilings. Often plasterboard ceilings are combined with stretch glossy PVC structures. These options actually look amazing.
Gypsum board false ceiling designs can also be designed using different colors. This material is easy to color. Of course, you should not use too bright shades or flashy contrasts for living quarters.
Drywall is a material that provides the designer with just a huge field for creativity. If desired, the design project can be drawn up independently. In our time, it is easy to find simply countless examples of such finishes. If you are not confident in your abilities, you can always hire a specialist to develop a project. A similar service is now provided by many companies involved in the installation of drywall structures.
