Of no small importance for a private house is a properly created external sewage system, which in the future will ensure the removal and purification of wastewater. As for the interior, it is in many ways reminiscent of the system in city apartments. It includes all pipelines and plumbing located inside the dwelling. The external sewer network of a private house is a local system containing wastewater treatment devices. Recently, external water supply and sewerage networks have been installed in many suburban areas, which makes it possible to lead a comfortable life.
In any case, the external sewerage of a private house should be well thought out. First of all, it is necessary to determine the place for the disposal of wastewater. If a centralized network passes nearby, then it is possible to bring the sewer system to it. This will require permission from the local water utility, which is usually issued after geodetic surveys of the site with an external pipeline. In the absence of such a network, a sealed storage tank or septic tank with a special filter is most often used. In the first case, one must take into accountthe fact that a vacuum truck will drive up to the storage tank, so the presence of a passage is mandatory. The second option involves studying the soil and determining the level of groundwater.
Today, there are completely different outdoor sewage systems, depending on certain conditions. All-alloy sewer networks are distinguished by their versatility, allowing them to divert domestic and storm drains at the same time. However, due to the fact that they pass a lot of water, pipes with a large cross section are required. Sometimes a method is used in which effluents are sent to one collector, but through different pipelines. Thus, the load on the pipes is greatly reduced. All of the above methods make sense to apply when there is a tie-in to the central network. In other cases, separate external sewage will be appropriate. For this, separate collectors are made with different volumes and throughputs.
Most often, professional builders are involved in the installation work, but some owners prefer to do all the work themselves. Thanks to this, it is possible to save an impressive amount on wages. First, earthworks are carried out. The width of the trench depends on the diameter of the sewer pipes. For example, if it is intended to use a pipe with a cross section of 110 mm, then a pit 600 mm wide will suffice. The depth is determined by the project, based on the characteristics of the site. Next onpipes are laid in succession on a sand cushion. They are connected with a rubber seal. At the very last stage, the trench is covered with soil. The result should be an external sewage system capable of providing a high throughput of wastewater.
