When summer comes, outdoor enthusiasts grab their heads because along with the warmth comes inconveniences like pesky insects. They find you everywhere and always, it is simply impossible to hide from them, but still there is salvation - these are repellents. If you use mosquito repellent, then you can quite enjoy spending time outdoors without worrying about annoying insects, but only up to a certain point. Because an effective remedy for midges has not yet been invented. But do not despair, because you can always use proven folk remedies, such as vanillin from midges.
Diluted Vanillin
It may seem unbelievable, but vanillin is an excellent insect killer, especially small midges, which often simply do not allow passage in the street.
They fly in whole clouds and can land on a person's hand almost in a swarm - it looks terrible, and the sensations are not pleasant. Moreover, some midges in the high season can be very aggressive and bite an unprotected person, which will cause severe itching and inflammation. But still, most often midges are harmless in this regard and annoy only their annoyingpresence in large numbers. But even this can be gotten rid of if you use vanillin from midges. The most common powdered vanillin in bags, which is sold in any grocery store. The recipe for a protective agent is extremely simple - you need to dilute half a sachet of vanillin in a glass of water, stir it properly, and apply the resulting liquid to all exposed skin areas. After half an hour, do the same procedure with the second half of the bag. After that, you can safely go outside, because not a single midge will want to sit on you.
Spraying vanilla solution
However, it is impossible not to admit that it is not very convenient to use vanillin from midges in this way.
Therefore, craftsmen have long come up with a logical way out of a predicament. It is enough just to take a bottle of vanilla water and a sprayer, which is fixed instead of a bottle cap - and the design is ready. You can spray as much solution as you like on your skin without getting your hands dirty or saving product. Remember only the ratio, since you will need 2-3 sachets of vanillin for a liter bottle of water. The convenience of this way of using vanillin is that you can take such a homemade spray with you and spray yourself if you start to feel that midges flock to you again.
Vanilla cream
But the most reliable remedy for midges is baby cream, in which the same vanillin is added.
If you use vanillin from midges in this way, the effect will be an order of magnitude better than when diluting the powder in water. But this tool has its own significant drawback - due to the density of the cream in hot weather, sweating simply torments you. So you will have to choose one of the options - either a less strong agent that can be used comfortably, or a powerful insect repellent that is not very pleasant to use.
