One of the most popular and reliable materials for finishing facades is siding. It is usually made of steel, aluminum or vinyl, and protects the building from the effects of the external environment, whether it be precipitation or ultraviolet radiation. No matter how good this finishing material is, the most important point is installation. Violation of the editing technology leads to the fact that all the positive qualities can simply come to naught.

Installation of siding is a step-by-step process, but, first of all, it is worth stocking up with all the necessary tools and equipment. First you need to purchase fasteners such as nails and screws. Fasteners are best purchased from galvanized iron or, in extreme cases, from aluminum. Nails are best chosen with a wide head, and self-tapping screws with a press washer 25-45 millimeters in length.

For cutting siding you will need: level; roulette; plumb; square; a hammer; pliers; perforator; hacksaw; a circular saw. If the siding is metal, then you will definitely need metal scissors, and a sharp knife to cut vinyl siding. Be sure to wear goggles to protect against chips.

Installation of siding begins with cutting. To avoid errors and for the purposes ofsavings, first of all, you need to make a drawing of all the surfaces on which you plan to install the panels.

When everything becomes clear with the number of panels and areas, you can start building the crate, except for houses that are built of wood. For the installation of the crate, wooden blocks or edged boards are usually used, metal profiles are also possible. The quality and appearance of the paneling depends on how even and durable the construction of the crate will be. When insulating the facade, the insulation is laid under the siding in the space between the crate and, preferably, a dense insulation is used, since loose insulation can simply deform the cladding.

Fixing the panels implies that during installation it is necessary to leave gaps between the panels, since when the air temperature changes, the panel expands or contracts. Violation of the installation technology leads to the fact that the facade can be deformed. Fasten the siding to self-tapping screws or nails through rectangular holes in the panels. To securely fasten the siding, the nails are driven firmly right into the middle of the holes. In no case should you drive nails directly into the panel itself, otherwise this may lead to their destruction.

When screwing in self-tapping screws, the principle of operation is the same. Fixed panels should be slightly movable horizontally. The siding is installed with an overlap of two to three centimeters, and in the cold season - by 5-6 centimeters. Before you begin to mount the panels, they need toleave it outside for about three hours, no matter what material they are made of. This is required in order for adaptation to air temperature to occur.

Installation of facades from siding begins with the installation of additional elements, such as external and internal corners and profiles, and only after their installation, you can proceed with the installation of the siding. From those places where the maximum load on the panel is planned, the installation of siding begins. Thanks to this approach, all other places will be isolated from such problems. Subject to the basic rules of installation, the cladding will serve for many years.
