Electric meter (single-phase) - an electronic device that controls all kinds of network parameters. Most often, this device is installed to monitor the consumption of electrical energy. It must be installed in industrial and administrative facilities, in various factories, as well as in all kinds of structures.
A single-phase meter must meet a number of requirements, including functionality, reliability, quality and service life. Before release, each device undergoes a testing process, where it is determined that it complies with current international standards, after which the calibration interval is indicated. Modern devices have a simple, user-friendly interface, which allows even users without special education to use them effectively.
As mentioned earlier, a single-phase electric meter must meet various requirements. Let's take a closer look at some of them:
1.
The meter body must be closed, and the fixing screws must beintact seals of organizations: supplying and trusting. The term of the last state verification for a single-phase device should not be more than two years.
2. The single-phase meter should not be located near flammable or explosive substances. It is recommended to place them in a free and easily accessible space of dry rooms. Their installation in unheated premises is allowed, provided that this corresponds to the passport characteristics of the meter. This should also be agreed with the relevant organizations, which, in turn, may put forward a number of conditions, for example, insulate the cabinet in which this equipment is located, use various heating elements. The simplest of the conditions is the installation of an incandescent lamp in a common cap with the presented electronic device.
3. The single-phase electric meter must be installed on structural elements that have a sufficiently rigid structure, for example, cabinets, shields, panels, walls and niches in them. It is allowed to install the counter on plastic, metal and wooden structures.
4. The installation height should be within 0.4 - 1.7 m from the floor level. This requirement is strictly individual for each room, so the range of heights is quite wide.
5. If the single-phase meter can be subject to mechanical stress, it must be placed in a special cabinet with a window opposite the dial. The same measures should be carried out if the device is located in an areaaccessible to third parties.
6. The design and dimensions of the equipment on which the meter will be installed must provide for the possibility of replacing and dismantling the measuring device from the front, as well as a sufficiently accessible approach to the clamps and terminals.
7. Laying electrical wiring does not allow for twists and soldering, in addition, it is necessary to leave the end of the wire (10-15 cm) free.
