Plastic wells are increasingly used in suburban construction. They greatly facilitate the installation of sewage, water supply routes and drainage systems. Now owners building their own house can easily install a modern well on their own.
Depending on the purpose, a plastic well is:
- tray;
- tap;
- cable;
- drainage;
- storm drain;
- for the well;
- to accommodate the meter.
Why is it recommended to choose polymer tanks during installation? Consider the advantages that a plastic well has. So, its advantages include:
- possibility of self-assembly and assembly of the product;
- light weight and dimensions;
- low excavation costs and minimal use of heavy machinery;
- versatility of tanks (there is a large selection of connections and manhole types).
Design
The tank consists of top, body and bottom. The shape of the upper parts are different, their size is limited by the diameter of the entire product. Hatches also differ in appearance - they can be deaf or with holes. Only the plastic well that is in the green zone is covered with a lid.
In the manufacture of small and medium tanks, corrugated pipe is used for the body of the well. This form easily interacts with the soil, since during frost the tightness of the system is not violated. A meter-long plastic well has a completely different shape. Plastic ribbed rings are mounted in the middle part. The bottom of the tank can be both blind and equipped with a variety of connections.
How to install
Installation does not require special knowledge and skills, as mentioned earlier. Earthworks begin with digging a trench. Its size should exceed the plastic tank. The pit is dug deeper and wider by 200 meters. Geotextiles are used to limit soil spillage and increase the elasticity of the structure. Crushed stone is sometimes poured under polymer fibers as drainage.
Plastic wells for sewerage are lowered to the bottom of the pit. The tank must be weighted so that it is not pushed out of the ground. Then it is connected to the sewerage or water supply system.
The next step is backfilling the pit. It is produced in different ways, depending on whatused pipes. If they are made of a material of increased rigidity, they can be covered with the same soil. Usually the pit is rammed every 200 meters. If polymeric materials of a low rigidity class are used in the manufacture of the tank, the well should be filled with cement mortar (sand and cement - 5: 1). They also compact every 200 meters of backfill.
When calculating the cost of work, a plastic well is taken into account, the price of which depends on the type of product. Most often order standard tanks. Based on the type of well, the cost of the material that was used in the manufacture of this instance is calculated.
Polymer tanks are used because they are convenient and airtight. They can be installed at a temperature not lower than -50⁰С. It is also recommended to pre-prepare the base (concrete or sand). With increased seismicity of the area (more than 7 points), such structures cannot be mounted.
